When venturing off your couch for Cabin Fever this July, expect delicious wines, gourmet food, and great live music. Whether you enjoy indie rock or reggae beats, we are here to cater to all of your musical whims.
So, leave your social interaction anxiety at the door and head out to Cabin Fever this month to get loose to some live music (it's time to forget that Instagram reel soundtrack that keeps replaying in your head). Here is a potential list of musical acts to swipe right on this July.
THE DREGGS Live @ The River
A rollicking night of Aussie live music, headlined by Sunny Coast indie-folk duo, The Dreggs, with support by some awesome local talent. Beers on tap, plus hearty Southwest reds and winter cocktails for your drinking pleasure.
Much unlike their name suggests, The Dreggs draw an enviable crowd keen to get loose and sink some South-West reds on the D-floor. I know it, you know it, we all know we’re ending up here and making memories that shall stay at The River.
A Night in the Caribbean Party
Let's get physic......tropical!
Dance and eat the night away with a balmy eve of reggae beats and Caribbean style food created by passionate chefs at Eagle Bay Brewing Co. Celebrate the culture and beauty of the Caribbean, with dishes and cocktails inspired by the region, as well as tasty beers and wines from Down South (including a free drink when you arrive, because.... well, you are WELCOME). There's snacks of all sizes, tropical cocktails, and sweet treats for after. Dance the night away to music by psychedelic afro-beat group, The Noble Kings. You’ll feel a million miles away whilst swaying to some island beats by the fire.
A sea shanty adventure worth plundering (oh and there's beer).
Come ashore to Shelter during Cabin Fever Festival to join sea shanty group, The Anchormen, as they warm you with their songs from the sea. Don your best nautical gear (dress up optional), feast on hearty winter fare and warm the cockles with mighty ales from the crew at Shelter. There’s a roaming sea shanty choir, and warm shelter from ocean gales – all while waves crash on the sand over yonder. Sailors get a hearty free drink on arrival and all eats are included!
Cabin Fever all-star, Blazing Brews, is back – bonfire, blues, brews and all (don't try and say that at the end of the night). Get toasty by the open-pit fire, knock back a brew or dance to a line-up of red hot live music. This year will be headlined by none other than surrealist pop/hypnotic electronica/guitar slinging siren Abbe May, with support from Dan Howls, Grand Casual and Lightnin Jack. There’ll be plenty of sustainable, locally sourced eats, including a BBQ worth staining your flanno over by legends Burnt Ends.
Homegrown @ HEART
Celebrate everything you love about folk music, with two epic evenings of music and art inspired by the genre. Night one includes a full line-up of local musicians while night two sees amazing live music by Mama Kin, supported by Moon & Honey. BYO felt hat!
Night 1: Wade du Boulay, Crooked Brook, Al Mac and the Search Engines, Kiera Jas, Moody Cows, Charis Ensemble and Uke Nomad.
Night 2: Mama Kin, with support by Moon & Honey and storytelling by Zac Webb.
SANGERS AND BANGERS!
THRILLA, Toastface Grillah ✋🏼🤚🏼.
The legends at Toastface Grillah are throwing one helluva party and slinging toasties at their Margaret River location with Kachina DJ on the decks.
Get a glass of wine from LS Merchants, Si Vintners or La Violetta, or tin of Beerfarm beer on arrival and let the good times roll.
