Are you the kind of person who’s found a cheese pairing suitable for every kind of tipple? Do you dream of cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Do you pray to cheesus? Well we’ve got some gouda news for you! Cabin Fever Festival is delivering the goods, with plenty of cheesy good times for you across the program. Read on to discover…
Fondue by the Fire at Howard Park Wines
Settle in for a winter’s afternoon of lazing with gooey cheese and delectable wine in the beautiful Howard Park Cellar Door. Grab a spot on the couch or at a wine barrel by the fire and sample an array of goods from local favourites Cambray Sheep Cheese, who will be offering cheese tastings, fondue and cheese platters for those who wish to linger.
Cheese Toastie Battle
Forget gourmet. Winter is about cheese on toast done right. The Common is lifting your cheese toastie game, by pitting the best chefs in town against each other. Their mission? Make the best dang cheese toastie on the west coast. Oh, and you’ll get to sample them all (of course).
The Cheese Making Party
Swill beer and eat cheese at Eagle Bay Brewing Co, while hand crafting your own beer-washed camembert cheese with Alana Langworthy of Yallingup Cheese Co. Then kick back and revel in your new-found super power with a share-style lunch and of course, more cheese.
Oh look, it’s high tea o’clock! Enjoy a grazing table high tea brimming with all the artisan cheese, sweets, nougat, sparkling wine, tea, coffee and local produce you desire at Bettenay Wines & Margaret River Nougat. Plus, a special lesson in styling your own Insta-worthy grazing table and a gift bag to take home.
And because we love cheese so much, you’ll find the good stuff at most of the other Cabin Fever events too. You’ll be pairing it with fortifieds at Get Porty, snacking on it while you make your own vin at the Wine Blending Masterclass and testing your palate with it during Feed Your Senses. You’re welcome.
Cheese the day, don’t delay.
PSA. We found these cheese puns, and thought it only fair to share…
